What ProfitBrief does for your store
One operating profit figure after recorded costs and labelled estimates. When inputs are missing, it is clearly marked known operating profit and may be overstated.
Recorded costs come from connected data or your entries. Estimates use configured rates or rules. Anything still missing is named and excluded, never confirmed as zero.
Open the supporting orders, product breakdowns and full profit statement. Review the costs behind a figure instead of taking a headline number on trust.
See incomplete cost sources and where to add the missing inputs. During your pilot, we help you set up costs and check your first reports with you.
An illustrative day, read two ways
True, and almost useless on its own. It says nothing about the $1,952.89 that left the business to earn it.
After product costs, shipping, payment fees, advertising and operating expenses in this example. Revenue can be reconciled to Shopify; the costs still depend on the inputs you provide.
Tell ProfitBrief what you want to keep this month. Every morning it works out what you need per day to get there — and says plainly when yesterday wasn’t it.
The same honesty applies here. If costs are still missing, the brief tells you the month is being counted at its most generous: an unentered cost is one that hasn’t been subtracted yet, so profit is incomplete and may be overstated until those costs are added.
$3,100 kept over 10 days · 21 days left
On Aug 10 you kept $310.00. At this pace August lands near $9,610, $2,390 short.
Try it
A missing cost is not a confirmed zero. ProfitBrief uses recorded figures and estimates from configured rates or rules; anything still unknown is excluded and lowers coverage. Switch a source off in this illustration to see why incomplete profit may be overstated.
All five cost inputs are included in this example. Coverage is not a guarantee that the amounts are accurate.

This example assumes fresh Shopify data. The app also shows partial costs and labelled estimates. Profit Confidence measures cost coverage and data freshness, not the probability that profit is correct.
Getting started
We send you an install link, and connecting happens through Shopify. ProfitBrief reads your store data without changing it. Your orders sync into the app to prepare your first dashboard.
Product costs come from Shopify where you’ve set them. We help you configure supported rates and recurring expenses, then enter daily shipping, fees, ad spend or overheads where needed. Unknown amounts stay missing until you supply them.
Enable the daily email and choose an hour in your store’s timezone. It covers yesterday and skips days without orders. The dashboard is there whenever you want to check the details.
Pricing
Your morning brief, supporting reports and cost-coverage checks are included. We help pilot stores set up their costs and review their first reports. Any future paid features would be optional additions to what is available today.
$0
Everything below, for as long as you want it.
Around $29/mo, eventually
For stores that outgrow entering costs by hand.
Nothing on this page can charge you. There is no card form and no paid plan to buy — Pro is a list of things we haven’t built, and the price is a guess we may be wrong about. If it ever launches it will bill through Shopify, on your app invoice, and only after you approve it.
In the spirit of the product
Here is what you can use today and where setup still needs your input. Profit Confidence describes cost coverage and freshness; it does not guarantee that every cost is correct.
The connectors are built, but Meta and Google must approve access before ordinary merchants can use them. Ad spend is entered by hand until those approvals arrive.
Review each order’s revenue, product costs, shipping and payment fees. Order profit is before marketing, other variable costs and overhead. It stays blank when required order costs are missing; export matching orders as CSV for your own review.
A short summary of yesterday’s revenue, included costs and known operating profit. Enable delivery at your chosen hour in your store’s timezone. Days without orders are skipped; missing costs remain visible in the brief.
Verified against a tax-inclusive development store: a €119 order reports €100 of revenue and €19 of tax, not €119 of revenue.
Founding pilot
ProfitBrief is available through Shopify. We’re onboarding a small number of pilot stores personally so we can check their reports together and improve the product against real-world data. Tell us about your store and, if it is a good fit, we’ll send you the private Shopify installation link. We’ll help you set up your costs and check your first reports with you. You help shape the product with feedback from running your store.
Read-only access. The current product is free and stays free, and nothing on this site can charge you. Uninstall whenever you like — we stop immediately, and erase everything we hold about your store when Shopify confirms the removal.
