These terms apply when you install and use ProfitBrief on your Shopify store. Installing the app means you accept them.
Who we are
ProfitBrief is operated by Benipar Corp s.r.o., registered office Primátorská 296/38, Libeň, 180 00 Praha 8, Czech Republic. Company ID (IČO) 14226839, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 360892.
What ProfitBrief does
ProfitBrief reads the financial side of your Shopify orders, subtracts the costs you configure, and presents a daily operating profit figure with a breakdown of how it was reached and a score describing how complete the inputs were.
ProfitBrief is a management report, not bookkeeping and not tax advice. Its figures are for running your business day to day. They are not a substitute for your accounts, and must not be used as the basis for a tax return or a statutory filing. Please have an accountant handle those.
Accuracy, and its limits
We take accuracy seriously — it is the entire point of the product, and the app deliberately shows you when an input is missing rather than treating it as zero. But the profit figure can only be as good as what it is given. It depends on data supplied by Shopify and on the costs you enter. If a cost is wrong, missing or out of date, the result will be wrong too, and the confidence score is there to make that visible.
Check the numbers before making a decision that matters. Where the law allows, we are not liable for business decisions taken on the basis of a figure the app produced.
Early access
ProfitBrief is in early access. The features identified as Free on our pricing page remain free, although they may change as the product develops. We may add separate optional paid features in the future. Any paid plan will use Shopify App Pricing or the Shopify Billing API. We will tell you before any charge applies, and nothing will start billing without your approval through Shopify.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your Shopify account secure — anyone who can access your admin can see your ProfitBrief figures.
- Enter costs honestly and keep them current, since the output depends on them.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service, access other merchants’ data, or use the app unlawfully.
Availability
We aim to keep ProfitBrief running and correct, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability during early access. Maintenance, provider outages and Shopify API changes can all interrupt service. If your daily brief does not arrive, tell us at hello@getprofitbrief.com.
Ending it
You can uninstall ProfitBrief from your Shopify admin at any time, with no notice and no reason. We stop processing your store immediately, and your data is erased as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or end access if the app is used unlawfully or in a way that endangers the service for other merchants. We would contact you first unless the situation makes that impossible.
Your data
Your store data remains yours. We process it only to provide the app to you, as set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops. Material changes will be sent to affected merchants by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, and the Czech courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
